Sharing Notes provides students at educational institutions including the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and the Negaunee Institute of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra with direct access and opportunities for meaningful community engagement performances and a successful example of music entrepreneurship.
As a result of involvement in Sharing Notes, we have seen students develop confidence as performers who can effectively engage an audience and grow in how they see themselves and their careers in the greater context of the world outside their immediate environment.
Past program offerings include:
Orientation presentation for new students
Career and entrepreneurship workshops
Career opportunities seminar for music conservatory freshman
Performance and discussion for continuing education students
On-site community engagement training and mentorship
